Design Wall and St. Francis...............

I have more Spinning Stars on my design wall.  They are coming out really nice.  Pictures just don't do them justice.  See the two at the bottom (by themselves), they are mistakes.  They will go on the back.  I don't know how I did that, but evidently my brain was in the wrong gear.  Thankfully I have enough fabric to make new ones.  The little white squares are numbers.

Isn't St. Francis beautiful?  At Christmas time, one of the quilting chicks (Kathy) and I were out doing our yearly Christmas shopping.  We have great fun.  We start with Mistletoe and Moss (held at the Civic Center (many vendors)), we eat, we shop, we eat, we shop.  It is a fun day and I look froward to it every year.  This year we were almost finished with our day, when we pulled into a strip mall to do our last thing.  As we entered the mall, we noticed on the corner a window with a sign, it said SALE.  The things in the window looked interesting so we went in.  They had very nice and different things.  I spotted St. Francis.  Most of the St. Francis statuary I have seen are small and if they are larger the price would break the bank.  Remember the sign said SALE.  It was a good one............I could not resist St. Francis.

Vic was here on Saturday doing yard work.  He cleaned out the rose garden, and we decided it was a good place for St. Francis.  We still need to do a little more to the rose garden, like get rid of the fire ants and mulch, and trim back the Rosemary.  I lost one rose bush over the winter so I need to replace that also.

Gone to Market Quilt..........Look for a posting this week.  I hope to get more baskets completed.  Perry is way ahead of me and Beth is finished.  Beth's quilt is lovely and I am waiting for a picture to post.

Hope you all have a terrific day..............

  1. Your quilt is stunning. Adding the oops blocks to the back is a great idea.

  7. I think it would be very easy to make a mistake on a challenging quilt like this one!
