First .........Look at this fabric. I could not resist. I don't know what I am going to do with it but I have 11 yards to play with. That should do a front and a back. The colors and the prints are lovely. I should make up for the yardage next week (or the week after) when I start pulling fabrics for two quilts borders and backings. I should be getting pretty close to doing both. The roll of black and white fabric is upholstery fabric. It is for my kitchen chairs. It should look jazzy with my funky chickens valances.
There is not a lot going on around here. It is hot, hot, hot. I am ready for winter. I will never complain about the cold and the wet again :-)
I am getting ready for Ellen to move in. She is leaving Wisconsin next week. I still have a few things that I would like to get accomplished before she arrives. It probably won't happen. I would like to pull out carpet and put in tile. I still need to find the tile. I have a lady coming on Tuesday to look at my kitchen chairs (they are game table chairs). They need recovering badly (fabric in picture above). I bought the table and chairs in 1978 and they still have the original covering. The threads are rotting. And then there is the new fence that needs to be put in. But that will be a story for another day.
Not a lot of excitement. I guess that is good.
Hope all is well on your end.

It is hot in my end of Louisiana too. 97 with a 107 heat index whatever they mean by that. I just know that if you sit outside in the shade that you get damp. I love the fabrics you got. I can see a quilt there or two.
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics are very pretty. And it is hot, hot and humid in Kansas too.
ReplyDeleteYour chairs are going to be so cute with your chicken curtains, will have to come see.
