Jim's niece, Sharon, (from Sacramento) visited us this past week. She was in Jackson, MS working on a dog rescue project. They rescued 187 dogs from one place. The woman thought she was doing a good thing, but the good thing got out of control. The dogs are now in good hands and will find good homes. It is so wonderful to have people who will do this work and the costs are mostly out of their own pockets. Since Sharon was so close, she rented a car, drove over and then flew out of our local airport. It was so nice to see her again. We are hoping for another visit soon.
Today, I hope to get back to quilting. I did pull fabric for a quilt I designed. I won't start it until I get something off my design board. I don't think I will have to buy anything for this quilt. I had a fat quarter bundle (Chocolat) and a number of pieces from my stash that will work nicely. I don't think I will have to buy anything for the back either. Borders, now that might be a problem. I will worry about it when I get there.
Anyone wanting to see pictures of our visitors, Jim, Vic and me in 2010 scroll down to the family and pet section.
