Top: A Pineapple with bird and flower blocks. I am going to name this quilt Pina Coladas under the Flowering Trees. I have been wanting to make a brown quilt. Actually both of these quilts have brown backgrounds. I'm under a deadline (I hate that) for the pineapple quilt. My intentions are to enter it into the Beaumont, TX quilt show.
Lower: I have finished the blocks for this quilt. There are actually 7 rows of blocks, you just can't see them. I am anxious to get this quilt finished. I am afraid it must go on the back burner since the other must be completely finished by February and I am already behind. Click on the pictures for a better view.
I have never done a pineapple quilt, or block: it looks like intense piecing. Is the larger one a shabby rose? I like your brown quilts.
ReplyDeleteBoth projects are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI like your pineapple blocks. Especially the colors you used.
ReplyDeletei love your quilts they are just fantastic at first glance i thought the top one was gold cds in their cases...then i figured out they were pineapples from your description
ReplyDeleteLove both quilts, the pinapple is very striking.
ReplyDeleteThank you all, I love the pineapple in no matter what size. Check out my blog for the pineapple quilt with 4440 pieces in the center. They are time consuming but the result is really neat.
